Aldebaran is the brightest star that the Moon occults. Aldebaran is shown reappearing from behind the Moon during the occultation of September 12, 1998. (Aldebaran is the bright dot to the upper right of the Moon.) This occultation is almost a mirror image of the March 1998 occultation.
