The 108 pounds of equipment that traveled to Chile with me in September of 1997 included: an Astro-Physics Traveler 105mm (4.1 inch) refractor on an Astro-Physics 400 German-equatorial mount; a Tele Vue Ranger 70mm refractor with a 3x barlow used as a guide scope; digital setting circles; an Astro-Physics 2-inch 2x barlow, 55mm and 7mm Tele Vue eyepieces; a Nikon F3 camera with 24mm, 50mm, and 135mm lenses; a ball-socket piggyback camera mount; a flashlight, compass, and level; a Lumicon Model 300 Hyper-Kit with hand pump; a folding chair; cabling to clip to the rental car's battery; and (not shown) an Astro-Physics 2-inch star diagonal.
